You are Here was installed at Burningman 2004, near the Temple of Stars. The software ran all night on Friday and Saturday nights, and the rest of the time the support structure provided a pleasant and shady place to sit and look at the temple. Many many thanks to all the people who helped with the installation:

• Hillary Seidner helped in innumerable ways. She created the shade arc and bench padding that made the installation a pleasant place for many visitors to spend time. She also made sure I was fed and watered out on the playa and put up with my stress-induced crankiness.
• Mr. Foo engineered the support structure, including machining the fittings. He also helped with hardware debugging on the orientation sensor and necessary electrical advice. His beautiful neon tree, located nearby, was also the landmark I used to find the installation at night.
• Spot Draves contributed much moral support, built the dust enclosure for the computer, drove my sleep-deprived self to the playa, and helped with arch and bench assembly and takedown.
• Sasha Harris-Cronin turned my sketch of the benches into a rock-solid design, and did much of the bench assembly beforehand in San Francisco.
• Will Welch worked on the benches with Sasha in SF and, with Spot, finished them in the middle of a full-on whiteout dust storm.
• Megan Walker helped Hillary with the shadecloth
• Catweasel helped with cabling and took pictures.
• Earl Stirling helped with the benches and introduced me to the right people when I panicked and thought I needed a new sensor.
• Mardi Jackson brought gasoline and enthusiasm.
• Mike McCabe contributed lighting for the structure. He was also a huge inspiration for the project - he's responsible for taking me to the desert and directing my attention outward.
• Sara Gallagher helped chaperone the installation, reminded me frequently that I was doing a good thing, and did a really good job cleaning and bandaging Hillary's finger. Not to mention she gave Mike the H. A. Rey star book in the first place.
• Oliver Crow generously loaned his generator knowing full well where it was going to be used.
• Nurse Jess helped with my last minute replacement sensor order.
• Wayne Correia let me use his satellite phone to order the new sensor from the playa.
• Some Anonymous Burner(s) picked up all the trash around the structure sometime before we got to it on Monday.
• everyone at the rAnCH and specifically ranchtronix where much of the work was done.
• everyone at FKO - best camp ever!
• Funhouse Productions gave me a great price on the el-wire and Benjamin also came by and took pictures.
